Moevenpick Taba Resort - Taba Heights - Egypt

We enjoyed a really good week at the Moevenpick in Taba. We had not stayed with this hotel chain before but will now be more inclined to consider this chain in our search for future holidays.
We upgraded to a bungalow room & this was excellent, plenty of space & very clean with a private patio & garden area which was near a pool. We decided to eat most nights in the A la carte restaurants in the Moevenpick itself, with the Shahrazad oriental restaurant giving you a 35LE discount per person - with a starter & main course our bill was around 100LE (approx £10) for excellent food & service in quieter surroundings. The drinks were free. We also tried the Chopsticks Chinese twice which was also very good, had free drinks but no discount - with two starters & 4 main dishes costing around £40, but it was an excellent dining experience.

We used the main restaurant for breakfast & lunch & found the food to be good & varied, the waiters were efficient in serving drinks & clearing the table. Around the pool sunbeds were easy to get & the area well looked after by the pool guy. The poolside bar was good with the barman often coming around to ask if you wanted drinks!

The entertainment was there if you required it in the evening, but I prefer to relax in my own way. We found all the staff friendly, helpful & attentive without being irritating or over-familiar. We thought the whole package holiday was excellent & very good value for money as all-inclusive in Egypt can be a bit hit & miss but this was enjoyable & very well done.
