Costa Sal Apartments - Matagorda - Lanzarote

We stayed at the Costa Sal apartments in Matagorda. We were put in a ground floor apartment blocked by shrubs & bushes. We complained to the person at the desk who said I had attitude & refused to talk to me.

Following morning we were moved to a better apartment, which was in a lot better area. We went back to reception and the person at the desk was different, really nice & polite. We said we would take it. When we went with the keys back to the apartment my grandson went to use the toilet which had been used! It stank & my grandson was totally disgusted. I did not complain as I felt I had complained enough already.

Also I had to sweep the floor in the apartment & clean the kitchen worktops. Balcony had to be swept - I filled two dustpans with dirt & rubbish & the table & chairs had to be swept down & washed. We were also half board, yet we were not allowed to eat in the restaurant, we were told we had to eat in the snack bar for our meals. Staff in the snack bar were really nice & although there was not a lot of choice on the menu, what we had was nice. I do not like complaining but I was really disappointed with this holiday, although not with Lanzarote.
