Club Armar Hotel - Marmaris - Turkey

Before I write this hotel review, I would like to point out that my partner & I are are not “hotel snobs” & we realised that we were not going to get an outstanding hotel for the price we paid (£600 each for 2wks on an all inclusive holiday package) but I would like to share my experience of the Club Armar hotel in Marmaris so you do not waste any of your own money.

Food here was cold & repetitive. We actually saw he plates in which the food is served being given to the dogs after each meal & they (the plates!) are not washed properly afterwards hence why so many people suffered from food poisoning, myself included. The drinks were watered down (beer, spirits & wine) & are served in dirty, smelly cups which they don’t clean properly before reusing, hence why so many people suffered from mouth ulcers. Tap water is used for ice cubes & they use powdered orange juice at breakfast.

The room was cleaned daily but on more than one occasion we were given stained sheets & towels (blood & faeces). Nice. the swimming pool was generally clean but during my stay a child vomitted in the pool & the staff refused to clean it out until the following morning. As fro the staff themseleves, they were constantly on the phone whilst you are waiting to be served & they refuse to serve you if you have complained about the hotel.

Entertainment: We had the same 3 acts every single night we were there. During my stay, 6 families, some with young children, were thrown out of the hotel for complaining. In total, my partner & I spent an additional £1,100 eating out & going on excursions just to get away from the hotel. I have never complained about a hotel in my life as I realise that standards are different abroad, but I have to let people know on this occasion as I wouldn’t want anyone else to spend £2,400 on this awful hotel.

And to top it all off, on our second day in the hotel, the ’Holidays from Hell’ film crew were kicked out for filming without authorisation - no joke!
