Chrysanthi Apartments – Haraki – Rhodes

We booked a last minute package holiday to Chrysanthi Apartments, Haraki. It was such a bargain price that we didn’t expect much accommodation-wise.

So we were well happy to find a clean, light apartment with balcony overlooking fields, goats, wild thyme & the castle – so peaceful. Kitchenette with basics, nice shower room. The sheets & towels were crisp & fresh, & were replaced in the middle of our stay too, which for a week at the price we paid was impressive.

Plus the cleaning lady cleaned & tidied absolutely everything, even our dishes etc which was fantastic for self catering. Haraki is breezy, so we didn’t bother with aircon, just kept windows open.

It is a short walk into Haraki or along to the sublime sandy Agathi beach, & we loved that we were on the outskirts of the little resort, yet everything was easily accessible. Haraki itself is a stunning little bay – just one main street of tavernas & apartments, & in June it’s calm & relaxed.

Not many shops, but it is easy to get a bus at the top of the road to inland village Archangelos for delicious grocers & bakeries as well as banks etc. Also to Rhodes, lindos etc – the buses are good & cheap.

You can use the pool at nearby Alia studios, (lovely, friendly & helpful staff – Christine & Laura) but the sea is so beautiful it’s worth the walk to the beaches. Go to Chef Tommy’s where you can eat what he grows on his farm. A perfect holiday.
