Auramar ApartHotel - Albufeira - Algarve

Just got back today from a holiday at the Auramar hotel. The good point is the hotel’s location being right on the seafront in Albufeira. The hotel made up of 4 blocks & reading various reviews on this hotel & on doing my homework I discovered that half the hotel has been refurbished so I sent the hotel an email asking for a refurbished room & also a high floor to take advantage of the sea view, which we were given. There were some rooms that had no view at all.

Our room was cleaned, & fresh towels dished out, on a daily basis but only if you let the maid know by leaving your ‘please clean room’ card on your door handle! On the less impressive side, the reception staff were not very welcoming, especially on arrival. The staff in the restaurant make you feel that you are an inconvenience as well. The nightly entertainment is so so and definitely geared towards German guests, and the same can be said for daytime activities.

I will definitely visit Albufeira again but would not stay at the Auramar. Plenty of folk we met said it was OK for a cheap holiday but we weren’t as impressed.
