Occidental Allegro Abou Sofiane Hotel - Port El Kantaoui - Tunisia

The Abou Sofiane hotel in Port El Kantaoui was very clean, the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels the pool was clean & inspected daily although the food was the usual all inclusive fare:

chicken, turkey, beef, pork, fish & chips on the buffet but also you can choose fresh pasta (cooked in front of you) with mushrooms, ham, chile etc. At breakfast you could get fresh omelettes cooked to order, fried eggs or a very nice selection of crepes. The salads were also very nice although I don’t eat salad & the desserts were delicious.

There was not a lot outside the hotel - you are about a 10 minute walk to some shops but it was very hot so not recommended. A taxi to the port was better being only about 3 dinars which is about £1. 50.

The staff were excellent and always happy to help with anything you needed. The bar staff were brilliant, the entertainment staff worked non-stop every day by the pool & were a great laugh. The shows they put on at night were the best I have seen in an all inclusive hotel - some very funny ones aswell. As for visiting this hotel again, we would without hesitation - when we can afford it again!
