Bale is a small town in Croatia’s Istria peninsula that Anja Mutic describes as one of Istria’s best-kept secrets far removed from the destinations featured in package holidays to this relatively new Baltic holiday destination. 

Bale is a medieval town riddled with ancient cobblestone alleyways where nothing ever really happens, but it’s the stillness & magical atmosphere that make it so alluring. Anja soaks up this quiet place and pops in to visit the “Stone Tales” bar where she discovers that it’s more than just a bar: it’s an open space for all who love performing.
